On the Mac (or any computer really). Make sure there are no other applications running that would use the camera. They can intercept the camera when you connect it. Making it not appear to any other application. There are several ways to determine if the mac itself sees the connected camera. The attached camera does not appear in Capture One. First of all, you will have to find out whether the operating system sees the camera. When using macOS, navigate to the Apple icon in the Menu bar and choose About This Mac - System Information - USB section. In case your camera is not listed, refresh the list. My camera does not work when I connect to Adobe's rooms but camera works fine with other software. Even though I suspected my old camera was working fine, yesterday I went ahead and bought a new camera. I thought perhaps my webcam software may have been a problem, so I bought a different type camera with different software. If your Mac is using macOS Catalina and you use Screen Time, make sure your camera is turned on and apps that use the camera have time available. Choose Apple menu System Preferences, then click Screen Time.
